Do you run a filter with your turbo???

hey guys, just wonderin how many of you guys are running filters off of your turbo? I see a lot of cars today just running mesh screen or nothing at all....Doesn't all that dust and water jack up your turbo??

since my kit was custom pieced together .. in the end, I didnt have room for a filter .. i've been running a mesh screen for almost 2 years now .. but i wouldnt recommend it .. i'm sure the turbo would be much much cleaner if it had a filter on it ... every so often I take the mesh off and try to clean it .. and it is DIRTY ....... stick with the filter if you can, even tho the turbo would probably breathe better without one, its not worth it.

Yup. The DRAG Gen.3 kits include a pre-turbo air intake with cone filter. Nice chrome piping too.

Yup,

The filter is a must. Take it off at the track if you want, but keep it on the street. IMO.

Ya didn't run one for a month or so.. i wouldn't recommend it.. everytime i drove through a construction zone or followed behind a huge dumb truck dropping dirt behind it, i got nervous.. just run one.. i don't feel a power loss..

YEAH put a filter on it man, that's your baby right there! Take care of it and it will take care of you! New turbos are very expensive to replace just because you didn't put a filter on it especially if you drive it on the street alot.
